If you have a developed nose, this is some news likely to make you happy. French perfumer from Lyon, Maison Laugier arrives in Paris to make us discover the universe of high-perfumery. This is a lab-store that opens in upper Marais, a place of all trends. From January 20, 2022, run to 9 rue de Picardie to dive into the heart of this French perfumery house.
When getting in this lab-store, you will discover a sober and intimate setting shining a light on rows of bottles holding Maison Laugier’s signature fragrances. Labels with enigmatic names impose scenes and paintings rather than suggesting references to the notes they hold. Under “Océan Noir” (Black Ocean) hides some flowery oud, while “Tueuse de fleurs” (Flower killer) is some leathery rose. The “Sombre secret” (Dark secret) promises to leave some musky scent, while the “Prince des Nuées” (Prince of Clouds) displays some woody and marine fragrance.
From eau de parfum to indoor fragrances, without forgetting candles and body care, Maison Laugier has a whole range aiming at making our daily lives smell good. Like an invisible painter, the olfactive notes draw atmospheres, set moments in our lives and paintings. But the experience goes a step further:
In this lab-store, Maison Laugier also invites you to enjoy a custom-made experience with a perfume-creation workshop. Accompanied by your nose, you will make your very own perfume while learning more about the history of the art of perfumery, and the way a bottle is made. You can leave with a 15ml spray for the 1-hour workshop (€59), ideal for those changing their perfumes with the seasons. If you are more into signature perfume, then the private 2-hour workshop in group of three is made for you. Available for €139, you can leave with a 100ml bottle holding your custom-made perfume. You can then refill the bottle with your personalized creation for €90.
