Get your paddle out and put your suit on and do not forget your knit cap! The Nautic Paddle is back in 2021 in Paris, after cancelling the previous edition over the health crisis. This sporting, friendly and original event, considered as the world’s biggest stand-up paddle race shall not be missed on Sunday December 5, 2021.
For this new and 11th edition – held by the Nautic Festival SA as part of the Nautic de Paris – the Nautic Paddle is once again to propose to the 1,000 participants a genuine race across the French capital city from the Seine.
As for the route itself, amateurs and professionals can choose between two divisions, starting with the “Loisir” division. This ride on the water covering 11 kilometers will make you rediscover the capital city from Bercy to the Eiffel Tower via Notre-Dame and the Tuileries garden.
For more skilled paddle fans, go for the second route, more “Pro”, covering 14 kilometers including an extra difficulty: a complete ride around the Île de la Cité and the Île Saint-Louis.
For the record, you can sign up on your own or in teams (4 people max). Medical clearance is required to take part in the stand-up paddle competition or ongoing clearance for surfing competition is necessary.
Once registered, a random draw will be proceeded to in order to find the lucky participants to the edition 2021 of the Nautic Paddle (800 for the “Loisir” division and 100 for the “Pro” division). Yes, taking part in the world’s greatest paddle race is not for everyone. Results will land on October 7 on Nautic Paddle official website.
