Paris-Versailles, one of the most famous races is back on Sunday September 29, 2019. About 25,000 runners are expected on the starting-blocks to run, as usual, the 16-km between the Eiffel Tower and Versailles.

Paris-Versailles, the great classic race that connects, as its name says, Paris to Versailles, will kick off on Sunday September 29, 2019 for a 42nd edition.

Speaking of the race course, runners will run along the quays to Issy Les Moulineaux, they will turn off towards Meudon. Here lies the first difficulty: the Côte des Gardes! As feared as expected by runners, this hill covers 2-km leading to the heart of Meudon and to Viroflay. We continue with the slope of Viroflay cemetery that only cover 300-m but that really hurts our legs.

Versailles (Place Louis XIV):

  • KM15 and 16: Avenue de Paris
  • KM16.2: Finish by 51 Avenue de Paris, facing the palace

Once you’ve came over these two difficulties, competitors will run towards Versailles for a final effort: Avenue de Paris. Unlike what it appears, Avenue de Paris, that looks flat, is a slight uphill and is likely to cut runners down. Runners will be freed in front of the wonderful view of the Palace of Versailles.

For runners’ comfort, music will be played all through the 16-km race. There will be 4 supply points including the one at the arrival with a system of watering expecting you in Meudon and Viroflay to cool down a bit if you need to.
