This is such sad news for all equestrian sport fans... Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Saut Hermés - initially planned on Friday March 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22, 2020 in the nave of the Grand Palais - has been cancelled following the ban of public gatherings of over 1000 people in a closed space as decreed by the French government.
An announce shared in a press release published by Maison Hermès that was expected to host this weekend in Paris the 11th edition of the Saut Hermès, a 5-star international jumping show (CSI 5*).
The best riders in the world, as well as young riders under 25 years old, will meet and take part in the ten CSI 5* challenges, the highest international championship level, a label of excellence in this field.
On the occasion of this exceptional event on the international equestrian sport schedule, four thousand spectators will attend every day an equestrian show specially created for the event.
With its expertise in the world of sporting or leisure horse riding universe it has been accompanying since 1837, Maison Hermès confirms – with this 11th edition of Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais – its will to make live and rise equestrian sports in the heart of Paris.
For your information, know that the Grand Palais was first built to accommodate horses. Yes, in 1901, it housed equestrian championships, coveted and oh-so elegant Parisian events. Draft horses, thoroughbred and illustrious riders never said no to an invitation for the greatest joy of a delighted audience.
It didn’t take long to Saut Hermès to become a now-unmissable competition in the equestrian world, bringing together talented riders from all over the world. Such an event within the Grand Palais truly is a show you don’t want to miss.
