As every year since 1843, the city of Chantilly welcomes the greatest filly horse race in the world: the Prix de Diane – Longines planned on Sunday June 16, 2019.
The Prix de Diane isn’t only a horse race, it’s also a big picnic, an exclusive concert, an elegance contest and many other surprises…
This year, Australian actor Simon Baker has been chosen to become Longines de l’Elégance ambassador all day long.
The Prix de Diane Longines – attracting 40,000 spectators – is inseparable from elegance and beauty. The Avenue chic, set in the heart of the Chantilly racetrack pitches, welcomes some 400 pageants to the Prix de l’Elégance Mademoiselle Diane by Longines so that they can bring an additional touch to their look that will make the difference for Sophie Thalmann. The latter will have the heavy responsibility to designate the lucky winner.
Music will also be at the heart of the Prix de Diane Longines. After Ayo in 2012, Nolwenn Leroy in 2013, Julien Doré in 2014, Lilly Wood & The Prix in 2015, Brigitte in 2016, Synapson in 2017 and Naïve New Beaters in 2018, it’s time for singer Clara Luciani to enter the scene. From 12:30 p.m. the artist will undoubtedly seduce the audience at the Chantilly racetrack!
Finally, the Prix de Diane Longines will be the occasion to enjoy a giant picnic thrown in the heart of the village. On the occasion, Fauchon has concocted a spring menu. Careful though, think about booking a ticket to enjoy this luxury picnic.
But the Prix de Diane Longines is indisputably marked by the 14 gallop races including the legendary leg that owners and jockeys across the world covet: the Prix de Diane Longines. Reserved for fillies over 3 years old, it brings together the fastest ones on the planet.
Don’t forget that a large, festive and bucolic village is open with entertainments, relaxing areas and gardens, as well as games outside…
In other words, a beautiful day ahead!
