Welcome the famous 10k Paris race! Last episode of the Parisian races trilogy, 10km de Paris is completing the “Running” offer of the French capital after the half-marathon and Paris Marathon. This year, the race takes place on Sunday September 26, 2021.
As recalled by Adidas 10K Paris organizers, this race is not like the others. As a matter of fact, you are not on your own during the race but running with a team. The 14 departing team represent the 14 districts of Paris. Give it all to your team and your district!
Covering the basic length for a road race, this challenge seduces skilled athletes as much as beginners. Sportsmen and sportswomen of all levels are invited to come with their family, colleagues and neighbors, 10km de Paris is open to everybody born before 2005, or 15 years of age or more. The sporting level of each participant is taken into account to propose a speed that will suit everyone.
The idea is to run around Paris greatest landmarks: the route (covering 10km for those not following) will start from the Place de la Concorde to end to the Invalides, but a beautiful detour will go through the Madeleine, the Palais Garnier, the Louvre Pyramid, the Seine riverbanks from the Louvre to Iéna to end with the Eiffel Tower, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Ecole Militaire and the Invalides esplanade.
On Sunday September 26, 2021, you can run on your own or with a team of two, four or eight other runners. An individual ranking will include – as tradition requires – all runners finishing the race. Winners of team ranks will be awarded a prize. Many race passionate also come to try and beat their personal record on a very “rolling” course. The most comfortable race conditions are brought together to help them achieve their goal.
As for signing up, click here. Organizers remind a valid health pass is mandatory to take part in the event. Also, they will fully reimburse registration fees in the event of canceling because of the Covid-19 epidemic.
A piece of advice to beat the best racers on the day of the race? Concorde-Invalides is an almost staight line covering 1.7km via the Pont de la Concorde, you know what to do!
