Tour de France 2022 is back in France, and as per usual, the ultimate stage closes on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées. After cols, falls, ups and downs, cyclists will arrive in Paris on Sunday July 24, 2022, for the 21st and last stage.
On the menu, 101.6 kilometers from Reuil Malmaison (Yvelines) to finish on a high note and on the world’s most beautiful avenue: the Champs-Elysées. This is an event awaited by lots of people: cyclists on one hand because they are worn out by the race and on the other hand, supporters, since the race has captivated cycling enthusiasts for years.
Here is the route between Reuil and the Champs-Elysées in Paris:
Traffic restrictions will be implemented all around the Champs-Elysées area of course, the Police prefecture encouraging road users to widely drive around the area. Note that from Saturday July 23, parking will be banned on the itinerary of the race in Yvelines. From 2 p.m., any kind of parking will be baned on the Parisian area of the race and all ways across the Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
To allow implementation of the varied materials and smooth process of the arrival of the stage on the Champs-Elysées, traffic will be baned on Sunday July 24 from 9:30 a.m. to circa 11 p.m. within the folowwing perimeter: rue de Presbourg, rue de Tilsit, avenue de Friedland, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, rue Saint-Honoré, rue de l’Echelle, rue de Rivol, guichets de Rohan, place du Carrousel, guichets du Carrousel, quai des Tuileries, pont Royal, quai Anatole France, quai d’Orsay, pont des Invalides, place du Canada, rue François 1er, avenue George V, rue Vernet.

In other words, to cheer on racing cyclists for their last stage in Paris, let us meet on Sunday July 24, 2022, on the Champs-Elysées. Especially as you know the 2024 edition may not end in Paris, this is a very good reason to go!
