20km de Paris will take place in 2021 in Paris. After being cancelled over the health crisis because of the Covid-19 epidemic in 2020, the major event gathering many amateur race fans in Paris is back. And even better: you can sign up starting Wednesday April 21, 2021.
And this year, 20 km de Paris 2021 promoters have many novelties in store! On the menu, 7 races including 5 on line, taking place from June to October 2021. In 2021, a new and essential theme applying to all races: optimism!
Before you can take to the streets with other racers in October as usual, the event provides connected races all summer long. The principle is simple: run or walk by the hour and wherever you want, within the time limit given by organizers. Furthermore, no matter if each contestant decides to run/walk on their own or in groups! Thanks to one's connected watch or smartphone, 10 compatible applications will enable to make a real-time rank for each participant depending on their performances.
Furthermore, participation rate to each challenge will be donated to one of the partnering charities, based on a payout of five per registrations. Namely: Fondation Nicolas Hulot, Fondation Abbé Pierre, l'Institut Curie, Action contre la faim and Pédiatres du Monde.

True Fédération Française d'Athlétisme - FFA [French Federation of Athletism] and International Association of Athletics Federations - IAAF-labelled competition, 20 kilomètres de Paris is probably the most mythical running experience in Paris as well as the most festive and popular one. Benefiting from 38 editions, 20 kilomètres de Paris was back on Sunday October 13, 2019, this race gathered over 30,000 runners from 100 countries in the streets of the French capital.
Remember, in 2019, it's gastronomy that was given pride of place with chef Thierry Marx as the exceptional sponsor of the 20km de Paris. On the occasion, free cooking workshops were set the day before the big day, in the race village.
As for the route, runners hit the Pont d'Iéna at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and then through the Parisian streets of West Paris (Eiffel Tower, Trocadéro, Arc de Triomphe, Bois de Boulogne, Roland Garros, Maison de la Radio, Grand Palais, Tuileries, Pont Royal, left river banks...).
As for the prize list 2019, here are the results of the race: Kenyan Enos Kales Kakopil won the 20 km de Paris in 58 minutes and 29 seconds. French Florian Carvalho (00:58:56) and Michael Gras (00:59:02) come to complete the podium. As for women, Kenyan Naom Jebet hits the first place of the podium (01:08:51). As for the parasport result, French Gilles Leroux won in 55 minutes.
Meet on October 10, 2021 for the 43rd edition of the 20 km de Paris! Let's not forget about the many entertainments provided within the village (free admission).
