The Vredestein 20km de Paris was back in Paris this Sunday, October 8, 2023. Under beautiful sunshine and pleasant temperatures for the month of October, over 25,000 runners set off from the foot of the Eiffel Tower, for a beautiful circus-themed race, for this 45th edition. Trocadéro, Arc de Triomphe, Grand Palais, Concorde, Palais du Louvre - the day's athletes were lucky enough to pass some of the capital's most beautiful landmarks!
Unlike last year, when a Frenchman won the race, it was Kenyan Elvis Chebor Tabarach who crossed the finish line first, after 57 minutes and 32 seconds. Frenchman Hassan Chahdi came in second, just a few hundredths of a second behind Norwegian Sondre Norstad Moen. In the women's race, Kenyan Gladys Jemaiyo topped the podium with a record time, followed by two Frenchwomen, Mekdes Woldu and Anais Quemener.
The day before, children were also able to run, thanks to the 20 Kids de Paris, in support of the Petits Princes Association!
