Le Panthéon, sanctuaire des grands personnages de la République

Le Panthéon est un monument de style néo-classique situé dans le 5ᵉ arrondissement de Paris, au cœur du Quartier latin, sur la montagne Sainte-Geneviève.
Il est considéré comme le temple de la nation française.
En créant une architecture religieuse exemplaire, Soufflot répondait au vœu de Louis XV de glorifier dignement la monarchie en la personne de sainte Geneviève.
On y trouve aujourd'hui les dépouilles des grandes femmes et des grands hommes qui ont marqué l'Histoire de la France.

Missak Manouchian exhibition at the Panthéon

The Panthéon is hosting an exhibition entitled "Vivre à en mourir. Missak Manouchian et ses camarades de Résistance au Panthéon" (Living to Die. Missak Manouchian and his Comrades in the Resistance at the Pantheon), on view at no extra charge until September 8, 2024.

Did you know? You can watch the Earth rotate thanks to Foucault's pendulum in Paris.

"We could be heroes" at the Pantheon: an unusual performance to close the exhibition

To mark the closing of Raphaël Barontini's "We could be heroes" exhibition, the Panthéon has announced an exceptional performance not to be missed this Saturday, February 3, 2024. On the program? A procession led by 40 musicians from Mas antillais Choukaj.
