The Bristol Paris, inspired by the house muse, Marie Antoinette (nicknamed Antonia by her mother), is opening a new cafe and restaurant to embody the spirit of French living. At the Cafe Antonia, you can enjoy high tea or taste creative recipes by Chef Eric Frechon in a cozy-chic setting.

The Bristol Paris luxury hotel is opening a new address that follows its tradition of “French living" hospitality. It’s called the Café Antonia, a tribute to Marie Antoinette (Antonia was what her mother, Marie Thérèse d’Autriche, called her.)

Everything was studied to a T in order to capture the serenity and elegance of Parisian lifestyle in this new space. Every room has a role to play, and was designed and built by the finest French craftsmen. Frey, Lelievre and Etro brought the linens and pillows, Vaughan and Galerie des Lampes the lighting and small tables, which all together create a one-of-a-kind ambiance. Louis XV and Louis XVI furnishings are from the Maison Taillardat and the beautiful bar and seating were custom-made. The alcove creates a very intimate space.

As for the kitchen, you can count on the great Chef Eric Frechon to create an inventive and authentic menu. You can visit the Café Antonia from breakfast until dinner.

For breakfast, you can choose  a Continental (45€) American (60€) or Health(60€) option. The Health special includes Eric Frechon health fruit juice,  a ginger infusion, honey and lemon, light butter and fruit jams, an egg-white omelette with tomatoes, gluten-free pastries and bread, muesli with organic goji berries and a fresh fruit salad. It’s the perfect way to start your day on the right foot! If you’re looking for something a little more exotic, you can try  the Japanese breakfast (65€) complete with traditional green tea.

For lunch and dinner, the menu has a wide variety of starter options, including steamed asparagus with Hollandaise or vinaigrette, tuna tartare spiced with guacamole and sesame (42). As a main course, the supreme of roasted chicken, French peas, and minute fish cockle juice and sautéed spinach (50.) If you prefer a light meal, there are also salads or open faced sandwiches.

But in any case, you’ll want to save some room for dessert. Pastry chef Laurent Jeannin, with Marie Antoinette as his muse, has created a special dessert in her honor: lady fingers soaked in bourbon vanilla and fresh ginger, with white chocolate and ruby red grapefruit. We would put money this becoming the signature dessert at Café Antonia. You can also have enjoy a full and decadent high tea spread, and even pair it with a glass of champagne!

The Café Antonia has already drawn a cosmopolitan following, taken in by the beautiful atmosphere and the decadent dishes!
