How about enjoying a delicious and healthy brunch? This is what Plaza Athénée offers us this Fall, a brunch giving pride of place not to ingredients makings us lose some weight (even though it can happen), but food good for the health.
Plaza Athénée doesn’t say goodbye to its classic Sunday brunch, but also expects you on Saturdays for a healthy brunch, the brunch that won’t seem heavy on your stomach and that makes sure you get a balanced and tasty offer.
To create this brunch, the entire team helped out by imagining beautiful options. From executive chef Philippe Marc to baker chef Guillaume Cabrol without forgetting pastry chefs Angelo Musa and Alexandre Dufeu or even fruit seller Jorge Ferreira.
This brunch is served in the sumptuous breakfast room that we’ll never grow tired of. It’s not a buffet, since everything is served while you’re seated. In the center of the decorum, proudly sit gluten-free breads and special breads including one based on ancient flour and cereals.
A cart named “L’Atelier Healthy Bowl” goes around the room so that you can create your own bowl. Go for the Acai Bowl with cereals and fruits, some porridge or granola, the Miam ö fruits or the mixed yogurts. This cart truly shows the will to come back to patrons by giving them the chance to enjoy custom-made creations by the team and in front of them.
We start the brunch with some detox water upon our arrival. Then, we pick a hot beverage: organic coffee or herbal teas for instance. Go for the special breads, the brioche or the Gugelhupf if you have a very big sweet tooth, served with homemade and plant, coconut or fruit-based butter.
Moving on to starters, we can choose between the King Crab (avocado, guacamole, passion fruit and palm heart), the healthy starter of the day and the Poke Bowl (salmon, quinoa, granny smith). The hardest part is to choose…
As for main courses, you can get soft-boiled eggs with artichokes, egg-white omelet with seasonal vegetables, konjac tagliatelle or even the healthy dish of the day.
And there’s no meal without some cheese! We end up with some delicious and delicate Rocamadour goat’s cheese. Last but not least, we enjoy three sweet dishes. Chia pudding with coconut milk and fruits, quinoa with rice milk, plant-based cream and Tonka bean and granita are the creations likely to delight you but they won’t make you feel heavy.
In other words, a beautiful offer for people wishing to treat themselves but still thinking about their health.
