Let’s meet on January 20, 2020 at the Musée Rodin for the Dior Spring-Summer 2020 fashion show. Maria Grazia Chiruri, women collection head, invites artist Judy Chicago to create the staging of one of the most private shows in the fashion world. A prestigious and committed fashion show.
Save the date. From January 20 to 23, 2020, the City of Lights will be all out for the unmissable Fashion Week. This year, the event everyone talks about is none other than the Dior fashion show at 2:30 p.m. at the Musée Rodin on January 20.
More than the “average” show, guests will discover the new collection of the French house in a spectacular décor by Judy Chicago in the middle of the museum.
To get an idea, “The Female Divine” is an inflatable structure, like an anthropomorph architecture representing the body of a giant goddess. The inside is bathed with a gold light swathing visitors and unveiling a series of banners – in English and French – raising committed questions.
As for the catwalk, it’s a huge carped adorned with a “millefleurs” pattern reminding us of the “court of love”, thanks to which women helped men (often back from the crusades) to readjust to the social conventions.
As a final touch, a table is laid with plates especially created by the American artist for Dior Home, with a whole range of colors and emblems: shells, spirals with sacred significations, traditional symbols of goddesses.
Don’t panic, if you didn’t get an invite, the “The Female Divine” work will be open from January 21 to 26, 2020 to the public.
You get it, this year again, the Dior Haute-Couture Spring-Summer 2020 fashion show at the Musée Rodin has only one thing to say: “What if Women ruled the world?”
