Among the most beautiful Epiphany Cakes 2020, we have the one created by Le Meurice Paris famous pastry chef Cédric Grolet, available on sale from January 3 to 12, 2020.
For Epiphany, the pastry chef feeds us well with an Epiphany Cake 2020 to enjoy on the spot – at Le Dali, the hotel restaurant – or to take away to be enjoyed with your family.
This year, the chef has decided to honor cereals with the L’Epi Feuilleté cake. And 10 organic cereals create this cake: white, red and black quinoa, squash, sesame and sunflower seeds, almond, kasha, blond and brown flax seeds… They have all been selected with a specialized producer.
Toasted or completely natural, these cereals are mixed with light almond cream, 100% cereal frangipane and of course, as topping on top of the cake.
By the way, Cédric Grolet has rethought the puff pastry and chose to make a brioche puff pastry that is super thin.
At the end of the day, when tasting it, we have crunchy cereals and subtle flavors. The buckwheat stands out and so does roasted sesame and squash seeds are super crunchy. We love the hearty and greedy frangipane filling. A word of advice, enjoy it slightly warmed in your oven, it's just better.
