This summer 2021, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme’s terrace reopens from May 19, 2021 after a makeover.
La Piazzetta is its summer name and offers us to travel to the Mediterranean coast, not far from the Amalfi coast.
This summer, set between the Place Vendôme and the Tuileries garden, Parisian palace’s terrace recreates the atmosphere of the Italian “piazzette”, these small squares where Italians gladly meet in the evening to make the most of the summer.
Featuring a main fountain, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme’s terrace is adorned with lemon trees for the summer.
And cascading and scented roses hang there, intertwining with the frames of the old-fashion pergolas made of wrought-iron.
On the plate, Michelin-starred chef Jean-François Rouquette serves Neapolitan pizzas. Recipes created in partnership with the Academy of Pizza for pizzas baked in a Scugnizzo Napolteano over – the best to bake pizzas.
La Piazzetta pizzas are made with ancestral flours and ingredients from the Italian territory, such as Vesuvian tomatoes and summer truffle with delicate hues of hazelnut.
In addition to pizzas, chef Jean-François Rouqette also serves staple summer dishes such as grilled sea bass with tonnato sauce, or even sea bass carpaccio with extra virgin olive oil and finger lime.
On La Piazzetta, sweet-toothed are not left out as they can enjoy Stracciatella ice cream and baba – not soaked in rum but Limoncello.
Craving a drink before dinner? Spritz is given pride of place for an aperitivo.
