For the Holidays 2020, The Peninsula Paris executive pastry chef David Bizet unveils his very surprising trompe l'oeil “La Bûche” shaped like a caviar box to enjoy at the hotel's restaurants from December 18, 2020 to January 1, 2021.

How about making our taste buds travels with an unexpected mix of flavors for the Holidays 2020? This year, Peninsula Paris executive chef David Bizet gives pride of place to luxury gastronomy and offers us to enjoy "La Bûche": a trompe l'oeil creation shaped like a box holding the famous Black gold based on sturgeon eggs.

The particular feature of this festive dessert, in addition to the intriguing ingredients used, the whole 2020 winter creation of the palace is also entirely edible: from the ice cubs on which lays the magnificent box - that actually are mint dragées perfect to close a hearty festive meal on a fresh note - to the white chocolate shell holding the creation.

As for flavors, the cook stimulates our taste buds with a wonderful mix. His gluten-free creation is made of a crunchy toasted vanilla and roasted buckwheat basemoist cakevanilla-white chocolate ganache - poorly sweetned. The whole is filled with runny kiwi-caviar heart that is both fruity and salty.
