Fancy an enchanted interlude in the heart of the Golden Triangle in Paris? Head for theHotel Barrière Le Fouquet's Paris, which is transforming the terrace of its restaurant Le Joy into a green and exotic poppy field, away from the hustle and bustle of the Champs-Élysées, until the end of the summer.
We love thecountry atmosphere of this secret bucolic patio, a real hidden treasure where it is good to rest. On the program, a new gourmet menu imagined by chef Mathieu Mecheri accompanied by a colorful program of events.
Among the appetizers, you'll enjoy the Burrata de Rambouillet, accompanied by an artichoke cream and peppers, or the Carpaccio of smoked beets with its condiments and Avruga caviar. For fish lovers, the Trout Gravlax and its citrus lemon cream will make your taste buds travel. The Leek Gyoza and its angel hair chlorophyll juice, as well as the Cucumber Soup glazed with coconut milk and its crab crumble, will delight lovers of light flavors.
On the main course, you will be tempted by the pearly cooked cod and its mousseline of peas with mint, the scallops in a sandwich bread crust and their mousseline of Jerusalem artichoke with coffee, or the Gnocchi with pistou and their garnish of tetragone, fine arugula and parmesan tiles. Meats are not to be outdone, with the Rack of Lamb smoked in Beech wood and its mille-feuille of potatoes and multicolored cabbage, or the Beef Fillet Heart with carrots in a mishmash. Finally, the Calf's sweetbread in a Comté crust and white asparagus with shavings of Vin Jaune will satisfy the finest gourmets.
To finish on a sweet note, we fall for the desserts of Pastry Chef Anthony Coquereau which are to die for. The famous Signature Millefeuille is divine, the Lemon and its emulsion of lemon leaf with pine nuts, the Dark Chocolate Cuvée Xibun and its caramelized hazelnut, or the delicious Pain Perdu caramelized with Madagascar Vanilla.
From May 2, a DJ will host the evenings at Joy from Wednesday to Saturday from 6pm to midnight (from 4pm on Saturday) . The musical program unveils Shades every Wednesday, Deep Culture on Thursdays, and Sunset Ceremony on Fridays and Saturdays. We enjoy a festive interlude in the secret garden of Joy, where we hum the hits of the moment to the tune of a carefully chosen program, while enjoying thebold creations of Chef Barman Pierre Cortin.
The Shades evenings feature DJ Poppie from Paris and her chic, energetic and nuanced selection of filtered house, new-disco, indie, deep and future funk. The Deep Culture evenings invite the most iconic turntable virtuosos of the capital to share their influences and their history through a free and borderless musical journey, concocted "for music lovers, by music lovers".
Finally, the Sunset Ceremony evenings offer a weekend getaway in the hidden garden of the Joy. Cocktails, tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere are the order of the day, all enhanced by the evening lights. OG.F and his guests offer you the soundtrack of these suspended moments, mixing melodic and tribal house.
This summer, Joy invites everyone to live a lively gourmet and festive experience and of course, we approve. Between the beautiful discoveries of Mathieu Mecheri 's new summer menu and the evenings animated by talented DJs, we can only succumb to the temptation to offer ourselves an enchanted break in this garden of poppies. Finally, if the desire to sway is even stronger, we end the evening at Marta, the rooftop of the place with festive evenings.
