Winter is here and with this new season, some hotels and restaurant in Paris turn their terraces into winter terraces for the Holidays.
It’s what Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme is offering from November 15, 2017 to March 15, 2018 with its winter chalet set up in collaboration this time with Swiss clockmaking Maison IWC Schaffhausen.
Together they came up with a modern chalet created as a “window to Switzerland”. Coated in deep ash black (a Japanese coating technique) and sprinkled here and there with white and silver touches, the winter chalet hides a large raw wooden table that can accommodate up to twelve guests.
Every night, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme executive chef Jean-François Rouquette will offer a Raclette Montagnarde [Mountain Raclette] with Saint Nicklaus cheese, baby potatoes as well as a charcuterie selection from the Alps. A Palace version is served with truffled for raclette amateurs.
Regarding Jimmy Mornet, he will offer guests a chilled and sour sweet treat.
On the terrace of the palace, not far from the chalet, you’ll find mulled wine and seasonal treats.
