It's back! Always delicious, sometimes curious, it takes pride of place on our festive tables, making eyes at us right up to the last minute of the meal. The famous Yule log is back with its share of creations as beautiful as they are original.
Among them is the one from La Réserve Paris - Hotel and Spa. For Christmas 2019, the Parisian palace's Pastry Chef, Adrien Salavert, was inspired by the sumptuous decor of the Duc de Morny Library, nestled in the hotel.
This 2019 log, christened'Les contes de Noël', is an incredible trompe-l'œil creation made up of three volumes of books. It also features the hotel's iconic colors of Cordoba leather, red lacquer and dark wood.
As for flavors, behind the cover of the first all-chocolate book is a box filled with tea- and citrus-scented chocolates.
The two books underneath feature a delicious log sublimated by a citrus fragrance, chocolate and black tea with woody notes.
To discover and taste this 2019 Christmas log by Adrien Salavert for La Réserve Paris - Hotel and Spa, this creation will be available exclusively by order (restaurant@lareserve-paris.com or +33 (0) 1 58 36 60 50), in very limited editions. Expect to pay €95 for this Christmas dessert, to be shared between 6 and 8 people.
