French navy is once again infected by coronavirus…. And it is once again on the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle that is hit, since Toulon maritime prefecture says this Wednesday June 10, that two new coronavirus cases have been reported last week aboard the ship.

By the way, Toulon maritime prefecture spokesperson said "a sailor presenting Covid-19 symptoms Friday has tested positive", confirming new disclosed by regional daily Var-Matin. Like for each case confirmed, contacts who have crossed the path of the sailor have been identified.

"Only one sailor who has already been tested positive during the first episode" is infected by the virus. The prefecture affirms that "the first sailor to have caught the virus outside" before bringing back on board the ship. For the record, the coronavirus epidemic, already infected a large part of the Charles de Gaulle crew since 1,046 sailors tested positive, out of the 1,760 men and women aboard the ship. Of course, the maritime prefecture reassures and confirms that "nobody is severly ill this time".

As a matter of fact, this April 8, Minister of the Armed Forces announced in a press release that several suspicions of Covid-19 were potentially detected on the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle then deployed in the Atlantic as part of the mission Foch (a French American air and sea mission). All in all, about fort sailors are now under strong medical observation and present symptoms likely to be those of coronavirus.
