In France, the coronavirus epidemic is gaining ground again. As Santé Publique France notices a global increase of indicators, more and more cities are implementing restrictive measures in order to halt the virus’ circulation. This Wednesday September 23, 2020, new statements are expected as for Paris where the incidence exceeded 100 cases for 100,000 inhabitants.

According to a source of BFMTV, Health Minister Olivier Véran is expected to unveil a new map tracking the epidemic in France depending on different indicators. Unlike the one that has been used to far, dividing the country in red and green areas, this new map shows more hues.

Therefore, cities where the health situation is the most worrisome are to be listed in “scarlet areas”, a statue leading to extra restrictions. Other places are said to be listed in “red area”, or “super red area”, depending on the seriousness of the situation.
