The First Lady has been in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19. So far, she shows no coronavirus symptoms, but has to get into self-isolation in the next couple of hours, as recommended by the health protocol.

In a press release published in the late afternoon, Brigitte Macron’s entourage says she has been “in contact on Thursday October 15 with someone tested positive for Covid-19 this Monday October 19, and showing symptoms of the disease”. Then, the declaration says that “in compliance with the recommendations from the health authorities, she will observe a seven-day self-isolation period”, before concluding that Brigitte Macronshows so far no symptoms of the disease”.

Therefore, the First Lady cannot attend the tribute planned to the teacher beheaded this past Friday on Wednesday evening in the courtyard of La Sorbonne in Paris. The same source tells the AFP that precautions will be made in her private life to prevent contaminations as much as possible.
