Although France exceeds the 2-million coronavirus case mark since the epidemic broke out, the Health director general assesses the encouraging situation. He says positive tests peaked on November 2, 2020 recording about 70,000 cases in 24 hours.

For the first time, this epidemic assessment includes the results of antigenic tests: they enabled to detect 32,935 cases between November 2 and 8, 2020 when they have been issued. Jérôme Salomon also says that since March 2020, 26 million PCR tests have been carried out in France.

Yet, he warns against the effects of the epidemic on the French’s mental health.
