The incidence rate per department is an indicator to follow very thoroughly to be aware of the epidemic's evolution. Here are the incidence rates in each department as of Friday 20 May 2022.
The indicator to track very closely right now is the incidence rate in each department. As a matter of fact, it enables to assess the part of people contaminated in each department and it tells the number of people that tested positive for Covid over the past 7 days in 100,000 inhabitants.
Please find hereunder, and for each region in France, the department-based incidence rate as of Friday 20 May 2022. In red are departments incidence rate is above 200 for 100,000; in orange, departments the rate is set between 100 and 200 for 100,000. In green we have departments for which threshold is under 100 for 100,000. These areas are yet not risk-free, but for now, they are not likely to be placed in early curfew.
The global incidence rate in France, as of Tuesday 17 May 2022 (consolidated data) is slightly decreasing and reaches 297.64 which is still far above the alert threshold of 50.
