The health authorities continue to monitor the incidence rate in each département as a determining factor in whether measures should be tightened or relaxed. To make life easier for Ile-de-France residents, here is a map of the incidence rate by department in the Île-de-France region and Paris at Friday June 30th, 2023, based on data supplied by the government.

How is the incidence rate evolving in each of Île-de-France's départements? As the most densely populated region in France,Île-de-France was hit hard by the first and second waves of the Covid-19 epidemic.

The government and health authorities use precise criteria to determine the extent to which the virus is circulating in each of France's départements: the incidence rate among inhabitants of all age groups, and the incidence rate among the elderly, who are the most vulnerable to Covid-19.

This Tuesday June 27th, 2023 (consolidated data), the average incidence rate in France is11.15 . In the Île-de-France region, the rate is 13.41 cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the last 7 days.

Santé publique France specifies that this incidence rate represents the number of people, over a sliding week, testing positive (RT-PCR and antigenic tests combined) for the first time in more than 60 days, divided by the size of the population. It is expressed per 100,000 inhabitants, and is used to compare geographical areas.

The incidence rate can fluctuate according to screening activities and delays in results. Each département is classified according to three colors: in red, those with a high incidence rate; in orange, those with an average incidence rate; in green, those with a low incidence rate.

Since June 11, 2022, the COVID-19 indicators produced by Santé publique France are no longer updated on Géodes and data.gouv.fr at weekends and on public holidays. We are therefore unable to provide figures on these days. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
