Seine-et-Marne first vaccination hub is expected to open from Saturday April 24. It is one of Disneyland Paris hotels – Newport Bay Club convention center – that has been transformed into a giant vaccination center, where a thousand people will be immunized daily. This giant vaccination center is only to open on weekends.

According to Le Parisien, Seine-et-Marne inhabitants might soon be able to go to Disneyland Paris… to get vaccinated. Or to be more exact, to one of the hotels: the Newport Bay Club will be transformed into a vaccination hub and is to start its new health mission from Saturday April 24, 2021.

Eligible vaccination volunteers will be vaccinated in this very beautiful four-star hotel with views on the Disney lake. A very delightful setting as uncommon in this situation as the Stade de France, also to dub as a vaccination hub.

Le Parisien daily states a thousand people will be vaccinated every day. The Pfizer vaccine is to be used in this hotel and be inoculated by forty firefighters from the Service Départemental d’Incendie et de Secours (SDIS 77), as well as by nurses and administrative staff made available by the Ghef (the Grand Hôpital de l’Est Francilien), supported by the ARS (the Regional Health Agency). Furthermore, volunteer firefighters may join the vaccination team.

Seine-et-Marne departmental council president Patrick Septiers explains Le Parisien that “the number of firefighters working in these centers will depend on the number of vaccine doses available. The State will then take care of the bill. But we shall see how long it last, because the Sdis77 shall not be put in a difficult position”, he reminds.

Appointment slots opens on Doctolib platform. Slots are yet very limited: the vaccination center only opening on weekends from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
