For a few weeks now, the Covid-19-related health situation is deteriorating again in France, leading to a new increase in hospitalization toll. According to the latest Santé Publique France data, as of Wednesday November 17, 2021, the country reports 7,663 Covid-19 sick at the hospital, namely 128 more than the day before and 757 more than a week earlier. These worrying data are thoroughly monitores by the health authorities.
Furthermore, 1,300 Covid-19 sick are still in ICUs, against 1,277 the day before, 1,154 seven days ago. For the record, 2,294 people infected by Covid-19 were in ICUs as of September 1. Furthermore, 56 extra deaths have been reported over the past 24 hours.
As for new contaminations, according to Santé Publique France data the epidemic is surging again since the incidence rate moved back above 100 cases for 100,000 inhabitants over the past seven days.
