The hospital situation is still thoroughly monitored but the curve seems to be borne out. As the number of new contaminations skyrocketted this summer in France because of the spread of the Delta variant, the new Covid-19 case toll decreases and it seems to be corroborated in hospitals.
According to the latest Santé Publique France data, less than 10,000 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized in France this Monday September 13, 2021. But after decreasing for several weeks in a row, the hospitalization toll is very slighly increasing again. According to the latest data, the country now reports 6,448 Covid-19 sick at the hospital; namely 11 extra people than the day before and 289 fewer than a week ago.
Furthermore, 1,052 Covid-19 sick are still in ICUs, against 2,294 as of September 1.
