Always more French are getting vaccinated against Covid-19. In France, the implementation of the health pass and the end of free tests encouraged the population to get vaccinated. As of Thursday 23 June 2022, CovidTracker.fr website stated 81.1% of the French population have been given one dose of vaccine.

Furthermore, Santé Publique France data show an encouraging result as for the number of French fully vaccinated. As of data|covid:_ratiodoses2:fr:latest], 79.8% of the French population have been given the doses required and now enjoy full vaccination59.8% of the French have been given a booster shot

Why reaching a threshold of 80% of French given the first injection? Simply because it is the percentage of the population given by experts and epidemiologists to reach herd immunity. But, CovidTracker.fr cautiously specifies “an 80% vaccination rate does not necessarily enable to reach herd immunity”. So far, the fight against the epidemic keeps going and is not about to end.
