Last year, for the most chocolate-y celebration of the year, Pierre Hermé took us under the sea with creations adorned with shells. For Easter 2022, the father of Macaron draws inspiration again in nature with a very artistic interpretation of the chocolate egg. This time, his collection was inspired by outsider art, available until April 18, 2022. In all, enjoy 4 Easter eggs looking like art items inspired by the earth and the sea, making the link with last year's collection.
This year's signature creation is the L'Inédit, a creation inspired by driftwood interlocking to create the bark of this chocolate egg. Available in limited edition in Prestige box, along with small eggs, it is based on Pure Origin Ecuador dark chocolate from the Hacienda Eleonor plantation. Allow €150 for the box including the L'Inédit egg weighing 1.6kg and 18cm tall.
The three other eggs from Pierre Hermé's 2022 Easter Collection are available in three versions: Pure Origin Belize Dark Chocolate, Pierre Hermé Paris Milk Chocolate or Caramelized Blond Chocolate. In turns, discover the L'Exubérant inspired by artist Béatrice Arthus-Bertrand. It features pebbles that seemed polished by the waters and embedded in this egg which texture is worked so it can look like wood. This creation hides a very indulging secret: the walls are filled with hazelnut praline. As an asset? It can be shipped everywhere in France. Allow €65 for 600g.
Here is Fossillis - as it name suggests - based on fossilized elements from the wilderness, engraved in chocolate rather than rock. Available in exclusivity at Galeries Lafayette, this egg features magnificent vegetable patterns for a bucolic touch! It is available in small size for €29 for 130g of chocolate, and large size stuffed with mini eggs for €43 for 300g.
Last but not least, discover Empreinte, that reminds us of last year's Poseidon egg, proof of this common thread the Father of Macaron has been running through over the years. This time, instead of shells, pebbles have left their makrs on this creation that seems eroded by nature. Allow €43 for 300g with tiny eggs inside.
In addition to these artistic eggs, Pierre Hermé also unveils pebble-shaped chocolate slabs based on hazelnut praline, as well as the traditional Easter Bunny inspired by sculptor François Pompon's work!
