European Heritage Days are coming to the Hotel des Invalides on September 17 and 18, 2022. Not only will the Musée de l'Armée be free for these two days, but also unique visits and many workshops will be provided to history enthusiasts.

On the occasion of the 39th edition of European Heritage Days on September 17 and 18, 2022, the Hôtel des Invalides housing the Musée de l’Armée in Paris organizes visits, concerts and other workshops. A unique experience to live out with your family to everything about history within this cultural and military institution in Paris!

Set in Paris 7th arrondissement, the Hotel des Invalides is an iconic landmark in the city which construction was ordered by Louis XIV. The King Sun wanted to provide French soliders wounded on the battlefield with a place of rest and life. This monument also houses a military necropolis, a cathedral and a museum devoted to the Army and war.

This unique place enjoys cultural and architectural treasures you must discover! You can admire Napoleon I's tomb, panoramic views of Paris from the roof light, exceptional murals painted on the dome of the place...
