The Musée Guimet is taking part in the Journées du Patrimoine, held this year on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17, 2023. It's an opportunity to discover the Hôtel Heidelbach, a beautiful private mansion that houses a traditional tea pavilion in its secret garden. Please note that registration is required!

The Musée Guimet is still revealing its secrets. For the 40th annual Journées du Patrimoine, the Musée national des arts asiatiques Guimet (MNAAG), located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, is planning to reveal just a few to the general public.

Every year, the Journées du Patrimoine are an opportunity to open the doors of several mythical and exceptional sites in Paris and elsewhere in France: major institutions, museums, historic monuments, parks and gardens, churches, cultural centers...

For this year's Journées du Patrimoine, the Musée Guimet is offering a tour of theHôtel Heidelbach on Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17, 2023.

The Hôtel Heidelbach, a sublime building constructed between 1913 and 1915 for the Heidelbach couple and located 150 meters from the Musée Guimet, is both a place where the collections of Chinese furniture are presented to visitors and a place dedicated to relaxation. Its garden, which reopened in spring 2018, is home to a tea pavilion, which can also be admired during these Heritage Days.
