As part of European Heritage Days 2021, the Louvre provides curious people and other art lovers to enjoy guided tours on Saturday September 18 and Sunday 19. A program filled with mini-discoveries to enjoy with your family or friends for 20 minutes around one of the most famous painters in the museum.
In the garden or rooms of the museum, guides will tell you more about the life and work of Eugène Delacroix. Main figure of the French romanticism, creator of Liberty Leading the People, The Death of Sardanapalus, Dante and Virgil in Hell… This great voyageur and influent artist has lived a passionate life the Louvre guides will walk you through. Note no registration is needed but you will have to pay for your admission to the museum (€15 for adults, free for EU residents under 26).
And to extend your discovery of Eugène Delacroix, tour-walks are also provided in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area on Sunday September 19 at 11:30 a.m. A wonderful walk in the old streets of the capital city, in the footsteps of the painter given pride of place all weekend long at the Louvre.
Shall we go, friends?
