Like most cultural monuments and venues all over France on September 15 and 16, 2018 the Mona Bismarck American Center opens on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
Guided tours are held not only to discover the place with an exceptional architecture, a hotel particulier in the 16th arrondissement in neoclassic style and featuring a 400-sqm garden, but to learn more about Mona von Bismarck’s history.
The latter nicknamed “the Kentucky Countess” and seen as the “world’s best dressed woman” by Vogue magazine in the 30’s is a true symbol of chic and elegance.
But beyond the looks, she mostly used to be a philanthropist and patron whose work remains today since she has created the Mona Bismarck American Center. The latter aims at highlighting the American art and culture of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Guided tours are held at 11 a.m. on Saturday September 15 and at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday September 16. They are free and upon registration on the Mona Bismarck American Center website.
