European Heritage Days are always the chance to discover places that are usually closed to the general public. This edition 2018 is certainly no exception to the rule and among others, the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris welcomes you behind its back doors.
On Saturday September 15 and Sunday September 16, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., be amazed by the reading room with painted beams from the 16th century and its impressive collections of ancient books (over a thousand!)… but most of all, access places that are normally closed such as the building turret featuring an unobstructed view on the Marais.
Librarians will also get from the storehouse some of their favorites: a true unique and very rich collection about the story and the culture of Paris.
