For the European Heritage Days 2019, UNESCO premises open! Meet on September 21 and 22 for a free visit of the legendary building that also holds many treasures.

European Heritage Days are always the occasion to have a look at exceptional places that are usually forbidden to the public… such as UNESCO!

UNESCO house, set in Paris 7th arrondissement opens its doors on September 21 and 22, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Here, no guided tour but a free discovery of this temple for the protection of cultural World Heritage marked out with voluntary polygot guides.

This 36th edition of the European Heritage Days is the occasion to admire masterpieces displayed at UNESCO: masterworks by Picasso, Miro, Moore, Chilida and even Giacometti. You will also have the chance to have a walk in the Japanese garden of UNESCO and discover all the details of its emblematic architecture.

To access the place, you better sign up on the dedicated website and please note security measures are very strict with a control system worthy of the biggest airports.

  • Heritage talks
    These talks lasting about forty minutes brings together UNESCO experts, representatives of the civil society and players of the world heritage to talk about "technologies reinventing access to culture", "technology to fight against the illegal art market", "endangered heritage: does digital makes art and heritage timeless" or even "do we have to rebuild the historic heritage or not?"

  • A Patrimonito corner for children
    In this area devoted to youth, different craft activities will be available for visitors under 12 and focusing on culture and heritage.
