Middle Ages fans, this tour for European Heritage Days 2021 is made for you! On September 18 and 19, visit the John the Fearless Tower aka Tour Jean Sans Peur in Paris 2nd arrondissement for a guided tour at a very small cost (€2 instead of €7 to €10). This is a lovely family outing open to children from 7 years old.
This building built during the Hundred Years’ War is one of the last and perfectly kept tracks of the Residence of Dukes of Burgundy in Paris. Its magnificent staircase is topped by a sculpted vault exclusive in France and the five stories make an exceptional place perfect to (re)discover the Middle Ages. An experience all the more unique since the vestiges of the medieval time in Paris are quite rare.
For European Heritage Days, the Tower provides us with self-guided tours - without prior booking - for one hour. Because of the Covid-19 epidemic, a 40-people gauge per hour is instated. Please try to avoir rush hours! This weekend enables you to walk the five levels of the John the Fearless Tower - all fitted with a tour presenting the story, the architecture and the daily life in the Middle-Ages. Learn more about histroy, daily life and architecture at the end of the Middle-Ages.
Careful though, the health pass is mandatory to access the Tower.
