Scheduled throughout Europe, the Journées du Patrimoine aim to make as many cultural sites as possible accessible to as many people as possible. Founded in 1936, notably by Henri Langlois and Georges Franju, the Cinémathèque's mission is to safeguard and restore the world's cinematographic heritage. And since 2021, a museum dedicated to the inventor of cinematic art, Georges Méliès, has opened its doors within the building, right in the heart of Bercy.
