As it happens every year, these European Heritage Days are the occasion to discover and come inside places that usually keep their doors closed to the general public, as it’s the case with most major political places. And the Ministry of Interior is no exception since it invites you to discover what it's made of on September 21 and 22, 2019. You'll be able to admire the lounges, the minister's office, the function room and the garden.
CAREFUL: Due to different demonstrations in Paris, some places may have to change their plans for European Heritage Days. We recommend you to inquire before heading there. A non-exhaustive list is available here!
CAREFUL: for safety reasons, the Ministry of the Interior is only open to prior registration.
By the way, did you know this building still holds one of the jails that were used by the Gestapo to incarcerate resistance fighters? Discover these underground jails (fortunately no longer used!) by following a tour dedicated to the occupation during the second world war. If it’s not necessary to book in advance, we advise you to come early, the queue can be long to visit this kind of institution!
