Are you interested in the State and finances? Well, the general accounting office or Cour des Comptes is the institution that has it all as they closely work with the public and state’s accounts. For the European Heritage Days 2021, the Parisian institution has concocted a special program specifically for the event. So, if you wish to take part in the 38th European Heritage Days, meet at the Cour des Comptes (or General Accounting Office) on Saturday September 18 and Sunday 19, 2021 to discover the financial jurisdictions and their evolution, from Napoleon to the 2020’s.
Created in 1807 by Napoléon I, this institution is famous for controlling the regulating of the public accounts, public companies, the social safety. For European Heritage Days, the Cour des Comptes invites us on a self-guided tour of the place. Exhibitions, videos, stands, mural to color, leaflet… It has it all to keep families busy! And this year, a small novelty, a “citizen dialog” provided by the Office First President Pierre Moscovici. The former minister is to speak about the office’s part and evolutions on Sunday September 19 at 11 a.m. Note this “citizen dialog” – hosted by streamer Jean Massiet – will also air live on social networks.
Furthermore, narrated-walks are also provided in partnership with the “La Cour des Contes” associations. These 90-minute walks will take you from the Cour des Comptes to the Musée de La Monnaie de Paris to discover Napoleon’s treasures (compulsory registration by email). And to continue the visit, European Heritage Days at the General Accounting Office will stream on social networks.
