The Monnaie de Paris takes part again in European Heritage Days. For this edition 2020, it expects you on September 19 and 20, 2020 with a program full of discoveries around this years’ theme: “Heritage and education: learn for life!”.

Visiting the museum to discover the transformation of materials, know-how, crafts and patrimonial collections; engraving and direct carving demonstrations.

Non-stop engraving demo from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. all weekend long
Mediation available at the museum: Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“Akan, les valeurs de l'échange” exhibition on the weights (of brass and bronze) used by the Akan people from Western Africa to trade and exchange. Beyond the pure transaction, it is all about a history and a culture we discover.
Self-guided tour
Saturday September 19 and Sunday 20, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Introduction to coinage, the occasion to learn more about how to transform a simple metallic planchet into coin, medals or decroations. Careful, limited seats.
Saturday September 19 from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Historical reenactment in the courtyard. Thanks to immersive drama sketches, history fans can relive the main and playful educational principles of Madame de Genlis alongside Rousseau, the Duke of Chartres, the young Louis-Philippe and our princely children!
Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m..
