Maison Poursin is taking part in the Journées du Patrimoine 2023 in Paris. The capital's oldest surviving factory originally specialized in the creation of brass buckles and brassware for saddlery and harnesses. The company's reputation grew during the World's Fairs between 1890 and 1914, when numerous horses were shown around the country. By the end of the Great War, the automobile was booming, gradually replacing horse-drawn carriages and fiacres. The new vehicles eventually became the sole means of transport. Maison Poursin changed its focus and began producing exclusively metal parts for luxury leather goods, strongly inspired by theworld of horses. A fascinating history and know-how to discover during the 40th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September 2023.
