Maison Poursin is the oldest Parisian manufacture still working and specialized in fastening and copper work. The story of this family business dates all the way back to 1830. After being specialized for a long time in saddlery items and harnesses, it extended its know-how to top of the range leather goods. For European Heritage Days, discover the creation secrets of these exceptional craftsmen and women.
Meet on Saturday September 18 and Sunday 19, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for two 90-minute guided tours of the workshops. A wonderful family outing open to children from 8 years old. And of course, it is free of charge, but you must book by emailing this address. Careful though, because of the health crisis, groups are limited to 15 people, so hurry up and book!
Still today, brass wire bending, stamping, assembly, silver weld and the different finish are made like yesteryear, by hand, within the factory set on rue des Vinaigriers. This family know-how will delight children and adults for sure.
