Discover economic sciences in an original fashion… This is what Citéco – the City of Economy (the brand-new museum set in Paris 17th arrondissement) offers for the 36th edition of European Heritage Days on September 21 and 22, 2019. A museum offering visitors to discover the place for free and attend a pop-rock concert (Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.).
Open in June 2019 after nine years of work, the Cité de l’Economie is the first European museum devoted to economy. Aiming at explaining the notions and mechanisms of this area to curious people – no matter if they’re novices or experts – Citéco is set within the hôtel Gaillard, a neo-Renaissance building from the late 19th century, that used to be a branch of Banque de France from 1922 to 2006. Note that on European Heritage Days, visits are open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
