The Institut de France takes part in the 38th edition of European Heritage Days on September 18 and 19, 2021. The occasion to discover one of the least known institutions in Paris!

Culture reaching its climax… This is what offers the Institut de France – a place aiming at offering to the five Academies (French, Sciences, Fine Arts, Moral and Political Sciences), a harmonious setting to work to the improvement of their respective field. A mission trying to make Parisians and tourists discover the establishment for the 38th edition of European Heritage Days on September 18 and 19, 2021.

Created in 1795, the Institut de France is housed within the Palais du Quai de Conti and also manages four libraries. On the menu, free visits to discover the story of this institution, its architecture, its cupola, the Mazarine library, and even its large session rooms, and entertainments but not detail has been shared by the institution yet.

If you are looking for more places to visit on the occasion, head to the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral providing entertainments or the Church of Saint-Sulpice for special tours. Anyway, this is the occasion to dive into the story of a historic building and learn more about one of the French cultural institutions. Shall we go, friends?
