Journées du Patrimoine 2023: guided tours of the Tuileries Gardens

The Journées du Patrimoine in Paris are an opportunity to discover the capital's most emblematic treasures in a different light. Between two museums or historic monuments, why not take a trip to one of the city's flagship gardens, the famous Jardin des Tuileries?

Listed as a historic monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jardin des Tuileries is the capital's oldest French garden. In fact, it was here that the now-defunct Palais des Tuileries stood. Today, the garden is one of Paris's many treasures, much appreciated by tourists and local residents alike, and is alive with festivities and events all year round.

For this 40th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, the Jardin des Tuileries is offering a walking tour of the trees and living heritage of the Tuileries, with a behind-the-scenes look at their upkeep, as well as a tour of sports in the garden throughout history. And don't forget the annual guided tour with the Louvre Museum 's reception and security staff!
