For European Heritage Days 2020 in Paris, the Musée Eugène Delacroix invites you to dive to the famous painter’s universe. Authentic place of life, his bucolic setting makes every visitor fall under its charm. These September 19 and 20, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., let’s make the best of European Heritage Days to discover this place, its story and its treasure.
Set in Eugène Delacroix’s former apartments and studio, this museum was born out of the determination of several main painters from the 1920’s. Maurice Denis, Paul Signac, Edouard Vuillard and Ker-Xavier Roussel, to name a few, wishing to create a tribute to this painter who triggered such admiration. This is how Eugène Delacroix’s former residency became a museum in his name.
For European Heritage Days, the Musée Eugène Delacroix offers you to discover the "museum-studio" for free set in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area. This is the occasion to dive into the heart of the artist's intimate work, through a collection gathering a collection of Delacroiw works: paintings, murals, lithographs, drawings, as well as items brought back from the artist's travels to Orient and contemporary works.
The admission is free of charge by booking on the museum's website.
