On European Heritage Days 2020, Fine Arts enthusiasts can head to the Petit Palais. Designed first for the 1900 World’s Fair in Paris, the ensemble including the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and the Pont Alexandre III is undoubtedly the most beautiful symbol of the “Fine Arts” style prevailing by the end of the Belle Epoque era.
In 1902, it is agreed that the Petit Palais is to house the Fine Arts Museum of the city of Paris. It first houses orders or purchases made by the city of Paris directly to artists, and bequests from major Fine Arts collectors.
This Saturday September 19, 2020 flash tours in French are planned every 30 minutes and English tours will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum also offers you to enjoy silent movies from the Fonds Lobster showing Paris in the 1900’s.
Last but not least, the Petit Palais invites us to a big participative workshop with a gigantic drawing to color with your family.
