For European Heritage Days 2021, Paris Commercial Court exceptionally opens on Saturday September 18 and Sunday 19, 2021. Lecturing judges expect you for guided tours of the court built between 1860 and 1865.

Here is a very unique outing to enjoy on Saturday September 18 and Sunday 19 for European Heritage Days 2021: the hearing rooms of the very private Commercial Court of Paris.

And to discover this high place of power, curious people will be lucky enough to be walked through by the judges working there themselves. For 45 minutes, lecturing judges walk you through the biggest rooms of the court and tell you fun facts about the place and their missions.

The tour is the occasion to discover the story of the building built in the late 19th century (between 1860 and 1865) under the reign of Napoleon III. During the tour, walk through the hearing rooms, decorated in an Art Déco style, and the period’s style, as well as the Presidency corridors, where are engraved all the names of the judges since 1564.

And not to be missed: the double spiral staircase hiding four statues placed in alcoves. They illustrate maritime trade, land trade, mechanical art and industrial art.

Doors open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., without prior booking necessary. To keep everyone safe, visits are to be completed in groups of 20.
