For the 40th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, why not take a tour of the capital's churches and discover their stories? If you're in the 18th arrondissement and want to visit something other than the Sacré-Coeur, we're heading for thechurch of Saint-Bernard-de-la-Chapelle, which is offering guided tours of its building on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17, 2023.
Come and discover this Gothic-style church built between 1858 and 1862, remarkable for its proportions and homogeneous decor. Take the opportunity to admire the two large altarpieces in bas-relief on the transept altars, sculpted by Geoffroy-Dechaume, as well as the originalorgan, listed as a Monument Historique.
The Journées du Patrimoine are the perfect opportunity to rediscover our heritage in a whole new way. Now in its 40th year, this cultural event invites us to take advantage of often-free visits and events at museums and monuments, as well asexceptional openings at sites usually closed to the public. For the occasion, the Île-de-France region becomes a playground for the curious and the passionate!
